Photography

Since my project hopes to explore the relationship between people and objects from different dimensions. The second-hand items are the easiest to find and a large number of different second-hand items can reflect the relationship between people and objects from various aspects.

So I used my vacation time to visit second-hand markets and second-hand stores in some cities. I photographed these used items and store arrangements in hopes of documenting them and finding inspiration for my project. In fact, my first impression of these used items is not their type, appearance, or condition but their smell. Just like a bookstore will always smell of ink, a bakery store will always have a smell of wheat. Whenever I walk into a second-hand goods store, the impression is always a strong smell, this smell brings me a wonderful feeling, they seem to be telling stories through the smell from the stores.

My current visual experiment is to express this smell through graphic art. Last week, my experiment was the photography stage, and this week I may continue to make visual experiments in stitching or painting, posters, etc.

At present, I have encountered some difficulties in this attempt, and I do not know which way to present my thoughts more accurately, so I am very eager to hear the opinion from teachers and classmates.
