Rememberme by Tobias Juretzek for Casamania.
Called Rememberme, the chair is made by crumpling and squashing the clothes into a mould and setting them in resin. What often intends to be forgotten in wardrobes and boxes now is brpught to light again. Worn-out clothes, still kept for emotional reasons, here draw a characteristic marking on the chairs. Like a kind of message inla bottle, the furniture contains memories and a sense for stories reyives in us. The chairs create a conceptual frame, lead the message to a hew expression and present themselves in a particular way, giving another perspective to things in general. A chair that embodies the current focus on sustainability and recycling (Rememberme is entirely made from old jeans). Remberme gives new life to objects which are unconscious memory capsules.
The particular attention was creating links to objects and to enable prpducts with emotional value in an industrial context. Supplied clothes from customers or discarded clothes provided by recycling companies are used as materials to produce the furniture.
